Moss goes by many titles: Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology; Fellow of the Dental Society of Anesthesiology, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the New Jersey Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry… He is a distinguished lecturer and has co-authored papers in scientific journals as well as a chapter for an upcoming textbook on the All-on-4™ procedure. But behind these prestigious titles and many accomplishments is a man who, at the very core, is simply passionate about changing patient’s lives. About Dr. Steven Moss
Dr. Steven Moss is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon at MALO Advanced Oral Rehabilitation in New Jersey and an authority in the placement of dental implants and in the treatment of the total edentulous (those without any teeth). Having recently been selected by Nobel Biocare, a global leader in dental implants and dental technology, to join a panel of very distinguished researchers, scientists and clinicians at their NYC 2013 global symposium on the treatment of edentulism, it can be said with certainty that Dr. Steven Moss is one of the most experienced and respected surgeons in the field when it comes to treating patients who are in need of an entire new set of teeth.
Dr. Steven Moss: Education and Training
Dr. Moss was interested in biomedical engineering when he was a teenager. By the time he applied for college, he was genuinely committed to the health care profession and chose biology as his major. Dr. Moss was greatly interested in becoming a surgeon and it was at this time, during his college years, that dental implants were beginning to create waves in the United States. It was around this time that Professor Per-Ingvar Brånemark presented his breakthrough research in osseointegration and implantology in North America.
Intrigued by these incredible developments, Dr. Steven Moss did some more research on the topic and became exposed to the specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. So, when the time came to choose a career path, his natural decision was to go to dental school with the ambition of becoming an oral surgeon. He graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Tufts University’s School of Dental Medicine.
Subsequent to graduation, Dr. Steven Moss embarked upon the highly prestigious Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at the University of Connecticut. After which, while in private practice he, along with his colleagues, started focusing on the All-on-4™ and spent time collaborating with experts at MALO Clinic-Lisbon. They were invited to receive hands-on training in the breakthrough All-on-4™ dental implant procedure under the tutelage of Dr. Paulo Malo: the All-on-4TM’s very own pioneer.

Years later, and with the guidance of their now close friend, Dr. Malo, Dr. Steven Moss and his colleagues went on to create a world class dental implant facility. Not only is revolutionary dental implant treatment provided to patients here, but the team of specialists helps to train other dental professionals alongside Dr. Malo at one of their many educational seminars on the All-on-4TM procedure. They also contribute to the vast amount of research MALO Clinic Education oversees in its continual effort to further advance the art and science of the All-on-4TM procedure.

When asked what his greatest personal achievement is, he replied without hesitation: “My marriage; I have a truly exceptional wife as a partner.”
